Pesquisador e artista brasileiro inaugurou exposição inedita que apresenta todas as imagens possíveis do universo na resolução de 1024 pixels por 768 pixels e 24 bits de cores.
A exposição “Imagens de todos os tempos” reúne incríveis 16.777.215^782.432 (dezesseis milhões, setecentos e setenta e sete mil e duzentos e quinze elevado a potência de setecentos e oitenta e dois mil, quatrocentos e trinta e duas) imagens que foram geradas e indexadas por formas diversas em 2D e 3D, objetos conhecidos, faces de pessoas conhecidas e desconhecidas.
O sistema que oferece a infra-estrutura à exposição também é capaz de sugerir as épocas onde possivelmente as imagens puderam existir, a probabilidade de uma imagem ser comprovada historicamente classificando-a como possível ficção ou possível realidade. Tudo isto através do relacionamento de diversos dados como estilos de roupas, tipos de corte de cabelos, face das pessoas, objetos de decoração. “Você é capaz de encontrar alguma imagem sua neste acervo?”
O trabalho foi inspirado em um artigo do empresário Ronan Lins, escrito no ano de 2005, que também investiu e patrocinou o desenvolvimento da pesquisa que durou três anos e utilizou modernas técnicas de computação quântica para indexação e pesquisa.

As imagens de todos os tempos
A cada instante de nossas vidas descobrimos novas imagens. E estas novas descobertas são frutos de nossas ações motivadas por nossas decisões. Todos nós somos responsáveis por descobrir, todos os dias, uma nova e bela imagem, tornando cada instante da vida uma verdadeira obra de arte, onde a harmonia entre seus componentes é sempre interpretada como algo belo e bom.
As imagens de meus Avôs, reveladas em papel fotográfico, já estão desbotando, estão sendo novamente encobertas. Mas decidi digitalizar todas elas, e agora serão eternas enquanto durarem. As fotos de papel eram eternas, porém elas não durariam muito tempo. Agora que são digitais, posso mantê-las durante toda a minha existência, a menos que Eu ou alguém as apague e Eu não consiga recuperá-las a partir das minhas cópias de segurança. Manterei estas imagens descobertas e não permitirei que esqueçam quando e onde foram obtidas. Tentarei, ainda, propagá-las, juntamente com o meu DNA, através dos meus filhos.
Para as outras imagens encobertas pelo tempo, perdidas, que não tive a oportunidade de visualizá-las, como por exemplo, as imagens do meu nascimento, dos meus primeiros passos e do rosto dos meus pais ao me verem pela primeira vez, eu utilizo apenas das vagas lembranças dos meus parentes e também das poucas fotos disponíveis em papel e desbotadas. Então fico a lamentar, por que não inventaram a máquina fotográfica digital há mais tempo? E fico admirando as fotos do meu irmão caçula. Garoto de sorte, geração dos anos 90, possui várias imagens capturadas e agora devidamente digitalizadas. Sem mencionar todos os vídeos e fotos já digitalmente capturados da minha sobrinha, linda, geração 2000. Imagens eternas enquanto durarem!
Será que eu ainda posso ter esperanças em um dia visualizar as minhas imagens perdidas? Quem sabe se no futuro eu não poderei viajar pelo tempo e levar comigo uma destas maquinas fotográficas digitais? Assim, irei recuperar muitas imagens encobertas e descobrirei muitas novas imagens. É, mas por enquanto a viagem pelo tempo não é possível e para a minha maior tristeza nem sei se um dia será possível.
Então, será que alguém poderia descobrir, como uma alternativa mais simples e talvez não inviável, um meio para enviar ao passado apenas as orientações de como fazer uma máquina digital e como conservar as células de memória para que a informação chegasse até nós, aqui no futuro? Seria espetacular! Não precisaria ser uma máquina muito boa. Poderia ser uma máquina com a resolução equivalente a configuração de vídeo do meu computador, 1024 pixels por 768 pixels e 24bits de cores. Já permitiria visualizar muitas coisas, descobrir muitos momentos. Imagine, por exemplo, o quanto seria fantástico obter imagens digitais, da época de Cristo, do império Romano, da Era dos dinossauros etc. Seria extraordinário! Porém, vamos ser realistas, é claro o paradoxo que seria gerado por estas ações. Nada hoje seria como é e como o futuro do passado pode depender de uma ação do futuro? Paradoxo.
Preciso pensar em outra solução. Eureka! “Se eu não posso ir até a montanha, a montanha poderia vir até mim”, conheço este ditado de algum lugar. Se nós não podemos andar pela dimensão do tempo e buscar as imagens perdidas, as imagens perdidas que venham até nós! Como?
Simples! Se viajarmos pela dimensão do tempo com essa máquina fotográfica digital, chegará um momento que esgotaremos todas as possíveis imagens que esta câmera poderá capturar. Para esclarecer o que estou querendo dizer, vamos fazer algumas continhas simples utilizando a análise combinatória e entender um pouco sobre a formação de imagens digitais.
Uma imagem capturada pela câmera digital possuirá 1024 pixels de largura e 768 pixels de altura (um pixel é um ponto que pode assumir uma determinada cor e é a menor parte na formação da imagem digital, um ponto), dado estas dimensões, uma imagem será formada por 786.432 pontos (1024 vezes 768). Como exemplo, observe a figura 1. Considere cada quadrado que forma esta figura como um pixel.
Além destas duas dimensões (largura e altura), ela possuirá 24 bits de cores, ou seja, 16.777.215 (dezesseis milhões, setecentos e setenta e sete mil e duzentos e quinze) cores. Sendo assim, cada um dos 782.432 pontos que formam uma imagem poderá assumir uma das 16.777.215 cores disponíveis, o que nos dá um número finito de imagens! Um conjunto de 16.777.215 782.432 (16.777.215 elevado a 782.432) imagens. Um álbum com todas as imagens de todos os tempos!
Pronto, não precisamos mais viajar pelo tempo para obter as imagens. Já temos todas as imagens ao nosso alcance! Temos neste álbum as fotos dos homens pré-históricos, da guerra do Vietnã, de Pedro Álvares Cabral chegando ao Brasil, da era dos dinossauros, até as fotos dos meus filhos (apesar de que ainda não os tenho), dos meus netos e até de Jesus Cristo! Basta-me agora escolher uma imagem e visualizá-la. Simples, diante da complexidade do problema, não é?
Não é. Pensando melhor, apesar de todas as imagens estarem disponíveis para mim, como saberei qual é a imagem que estou procurando? Como vou saber em qual instante do tempo uma determinada imagem escolhida foi obtida? Será que ela foi capturada no futuro ou no passado? Será que uma imagem, desconhecida para mim, já é conhecida por alguma outra pessoa? Esta imagem representará algo para mim em um futuro próximo ou distante? E de qual ponto do espaço a imagem foi obtida? Pior! Será que aquela imagem é de um momento que aconteceu ou que aconteceria se algo não fosse ou fosse feito?
Trazer a montanha de imagens até mim é possível, mas associar cada imagem ao seu tempo e lugar acabou tornando-se tão complexo quanto viajar no tempo. Porém, pelo menos agora eu tenho o meu álbum com todas as imagens de todos os tempos, dos tempos que existiram, dos tempos que existiriam e dos tempos que ainda existirão. Tenho certeza, que neste álbum estão todas as imagens que eu já obtive, poderia, posso e poderei obter com esta minha máquina fotográfica digital. Então só me resta tentar apreciá-lo, retirando dele, a cada dia, uma foto e assim descobrir uma nova imagem.
Bem, eu não resolvi o meu problema. Apesar de saber que todas as imagens já estão disponíveis, elas ainda continuam encobertas esperando que eu as descubra. Pelo menos esta experiência me ensinou algo, me ajudou a perceber que no universo, nada se cria, tudo se “descobre”. O universo é uma combinação de infinitas dimensões, com infinitos elementos, gerando infinitas possibilidades de acontecimentos, de objetos, de seres, de imagens etc, e que temos o dever de aumentar cada vez mais a nossa “resolução” (nossa visão sobre este universo) o que nos possibilitará escolher as melhores combinações que tornará a vida sempre melhor para todos!
Para concluir esta minha experiência, ousando um pouco mais, talvez isto esclareça por que não conseguimos compreender a origem do universo. Talvez o ato da criação não exista e assim nem Ele é um criador, pois, não houve, não há e nunca haverá o que criar. Ele simplesmente Foi, Seria, É, e Será tudo. Sempre desejará a vida para que através dela, Ele esteja se descobrindo e se redescobrindo, a todo o momento. Nós (seres vivos) somos Nele, somos seus olhos, seus sentidos. Todo Ser É, e Ser só é possível Nele, o que torna todos os seres bons, pois Ele sempre deseja a vida.
Penso que a vontade Dele é que eu descubra novas imagens todos os dias e que cada imagem descoberta, quando possível, seja mais bela que a anterior. Assim motivarei sempre as pessoas a descobrirem, mais e mais, belas imagens.

Every moment of our lives we find new images. And these discoveries are the fruit of our actions motivated by our decisions. At least this experience has taught me anything, helped me realize that in the universe, nothing is created, everything is "discovered." The universe is a combination of infinite size with infinite elements, creating endless possibilities for events, objects, beings, images etc., and that we must increase our increasingly "resolution" (our view of this universe ) which will enable us to choose the best combination that will make life better for everyone forever!
To conclude my experience, a little more daring, maybe this clarifies why we could not understand the origin of the universe.
